Airport Carbon Accreditation

Vincenzo Florio" Airport in Trapani-Birgi has achieved Level 2 of the Airport Carbon Accreditation (ACA) certification, the international programme promoted by ACI Europe that assesses airports' commitment to managing and reducing carbon dioxide emissions. This achievement demonstrates Airgest's ability to accurately monitor its carbon footprint and translate sustainability goals into concrete, measurable actions.

At a time of growing air traffic and an expanding network of destinations, this certification shows that development and environmental protection can go hand in hand, in line with European targets for decarbonising air transport.

Level 2 marks a starting point: Airgest is committed to continuing its journey towards the higher levels of certification, further investing in energy efficiency and reducing environmental impact, to build an airport that is increasingly modern, competitive and responsible towards the local community and future generations.
