Who we are

Airgest, the management company of Trapani airport since 1992, is a corporation made up of over 99% by public bodies.

As an airport operator, as governed by Article 705 of the NAV. Code, it guarantees:

• the design, construction, development, maintenance and use of airport infrastructures, facilities and areas;
• the management and development of airport activities as a whole;
• the management of security checks on passengers, baggage and cargo;
• the control and coordination of the activities of the various operators present at the airport.

All this takes place under the control and supervision of ENAC, the National Civil Aviation Authority, with which Airgest SpA on 27 June 2012 signed the deed of agreement for the assignment of the Concession for the Management of the Civil Airport Infrastructures of Trapani Birgi Airport, with a duration of thirty years, seeing its role as Total Manager of airport infrastructures recognized.

This is in addition to the Certification, obtained in December 2008, attesting to the compliance of the airport infrastructures and the manager's organization with the prescribed regulatory requirements, national and international, and, from this, the suitability for commercial air traffic operations.

Airgest also operates as a handler, currently the only one at Trapani airport, assisting and providing services to passengers, baggage, aircraft and cargo. These services have also been certified by ENAC on the basis of art. 13 of Legislative Decree 18/99 and the ENAC Regulation of 19.12.2006.

Airgest, in compliance with the Prime Ministerial Decree of 31/12/98, periodically creates and publishes the "Service Charter", with the aim of presenting the structure of the Trapani airport, the characteristics of the services offered and the quality standards.
