Airport Carbon Accreditation – Level 2

All news

The Airport Carbon Accreditation – Level 2 certification is much more than an important recognition; it is tangible proof of the commitment, vision, and passion that drive our airport every single day. It is the result of outstanding teamwork, looking to the future with responsibility and an ever-stronger focus on sustainability and innovation.

This achievement adds to the significant work we are carrying out to increase passenger traffic and make Vincenzo Florio Airport increasingly modern, efficient, and welcoming. In the coming weeks, we will finalize contracts for the first three of the seven projects funded through the FSC (Development and Cohesion Fund), enabling construction to begin by the end of the summer and allowing us to continue the airport's redevelopment and growth.

This achievement belongs to all of us—to the Board of Directors, consisting of myself, Attorney Mariella Martinciglio, and Dr. Paolo Torrente; to the entire Airgest team, whose professionalism and dedication contribute every day to the airport's growth; and to the institutions that continue to believe in the airport's strategic role in supporting the economic and tourism development of our region.

I would also like to express my sincere gratitude to Regional Councillor Alessandro Aricò, Hon. Stefano Pellegrino, Salvatore Quinci, President of the Free Municipal Consortium of Trapani, Diego Carpitella, Secretary General of the Trapani Chamber of Commerce, and Enrico La Sala, Councillor of the Municipality of Marsala, for their presence and support on such a meaningful occasion.

Trapani Airport continues to grow not only in passenger numbers but, above all, in its values: sustainability, innovation, service quality, and commitment to the local community. This recognition marks an important milestone in our journey, and I am convinced that the best is yet to come.
